Marishiten = Japanese reading based on Chinese characters
Jp. = Marishiten, Ch. = Mólìzhī. The term "ten" is the Japanese word for Sanskrit "Deva." This amulet comes in two pieces: (1) protective cap and (2) main piece depicting the deity. Both pieces snap together snugly for compact storage. Sandalwood is an aromatic wood, the most prized in Asia for making Buddhist statuary.
